Cooking for Chuseok
I invited friends to share Korean holiday food for Chuseok in New York. A friend in Manhattan offered their home for the gathering, and I prepared the food there.
Around the table
Galbijjim, Korean braised short ribs, was the main dish. I also made japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), ganjang tteokbokki (soy-glazed rice cakes), and jeon (savory pancakes). We sat down together to share the Chuseok meal.
